Hmmmm - corporate consulting? You are about to dive into shark-invested waters,Stephanie. I have done that for a few years, in SE Asia, Europe and the Western US/Canada. And that was AFTER I had operational experience in the corporate world. Not to discourage you, but much depends upon how you present yourself. Rely less on your academic credentials and be sure of what you really know, and then the authority of your knowledge and experience may just carry the day.
There also is a not-so-well known process for soliciting and acquiring feedback from people within organizations who usually are rather coy about revealing anything about their perception of what is not quite up to snuff in their organization. It is called the "Crawford Slip Method". Have not looked for what info is available now - this goes back quite a few years that I dealt with that.
In any event, I will stroke my rabbits foot for good luck for you.
